We’re excited to offer alternative payment methods to our customers in the form of various digital assets, such as Bitcoin through Coinbase. Prior to placing an order, we require you to review and accept the terms below.

How do I pay with Bitcoin?

Bitcoin is a digital currency that allows quick and secure online payments. We partnered with Coinbase, a Bitcoin platform, to enable Bitcoin as a form of payment on peninsulavisa.com. Coinbase is a Bitcoin wallet that allows consumers to buy, sell, send, and receive Bitcoins as well as other digital assets.

After agreeing to the terms below, simply click on “Buy with Crypto” for the service being requested and follow the on screen prompts.

Orders paid with Bitcoin cannot be combined with any other form of payment

How will my refund be issued with Bitcoin?

Once Peninsula Visa submits a travel document request to an issuing authority on your behalf, Peninsula Visa's service fees are non-refundable.

Refunds will be issued for the full USD value of the order and processed at the Bitcoin exchange rate when the refund is completed. Your refund will be issued through Coinbase using the email address provided on your order.

All refunds are issued for the full USD value of the order and processed at the Bitcoin exchange rate at the time the refund is completed.

Terms & Conditions

Transactions are Final — Bitcoin transactions are final. Once you send Bitcoin funds to our account, the transaction cannot be reversed. This is a core feature of Bitcoin currency.

$USD — All Bitcoin transactions are communicated in US Dollars (USD). The exchange rate is provided by our partner, Coinbase, at the time of purchase. This exchange rate is valid for up to 10 minutes. If the payment is not completed during this time, you may be provided with a new exchange rate.

Refunds —  The refund will be issued for the full USD value of the order and processed at the Bitcoin exchange rate when the refund is completed. Your refund will be issued through Coinbase using the email address listed on your order. If you do not have a Coinbase account, you will receive an email outlining how to create an account and claim your refund. If you fail to retrieve your funds within 30 days, the funds will be returned to Peninsula Visa as unclaimed.

Cancelled Orders Cancelled orders also qualify for a refund in Bitcoin. A refund will be issued for the full USD value of the order and processed at the Bitcoin exchange rate when the refund is completed. Your refund will be issued through Coinbase using the email address listed on your order. If you do not have a Coinbase account, you will receive an email outlining how to create an account and claim your refund. If you fail to retrieve your funds within 30 days, the funds will be returned to Peninsula Visa. The refund may take up to 60 minutes to send, ensuring payment for the original order is confirmed by Coinbase.

Additional Services — Charges for products and/or services after an order is placed are not allowed with the Bitcoin payment type. These charges include, but are not limited to: expedited shipping, Premium Support, and PassportProtect. If you need an additional service or product, you will be asked to provide an alternate form of payment.

Payment Anomalies — In rare occurrences, payment anomalies may occur. Below is a list of these events and how they are handled.

  • If we receive an under payment, no order will be created and after 60 minutes the amount sent to Peninsula Visa will be sent back via Coinbase to the email address listed on your order.

  • If we receive an overpayment, your order will be created and after 60 minutes, the remainder of the overpayment will be sent back via Coinbase to the email address listed on your order.

  • If Peninsula Visa nor Coinbase is able to verify the legitimacy of the Bitcoin transaction, your order will be cancelled and you will be informed via email. In this case no funds should be removed from your Bitcoin wallet.
